Weekly Diversions, Vol. 41
I’m finding it a bit difficult to create a newsletter for work and have enough oomph to put together a list of diversions (let's call it a monthly diversion for a bit!) Anyway, Eli and I took a quick trip to Detroit and it was a nice change of pace. I had this sense that Detroit was underrated and was pleasantly surprised to discover just how awesome it is. We left with quite a few places unchecked from from our list so we’re definitely hoping to go back. Now, we’re getting ready to head to Istanbul and London! Anyway, I’ve been:
Loving Aziz Ansari’s new show: Master of None.
Testing out all the new GIF making apps: boomerang, dsco & Tumblr’s beta gifmaker. Verdicts out but I’ll probably stay with my general process for now, maybe.
Stocking up on more lavender salve from Los Poblanos, a lovely inn & organic farm that Eli and I visited in New Mexico.
Creating some fun stuff for Old Navy (my fave out take is above!)
Photography ick: this self-promotion hustle that worked really well but totally freaks me out.
I have finally found the PERFECT black pair of jeans.
I would like a little muji hut and to have a corner for this lovely desk.
LOLing about this Brooklyn menu generator.
The weekly diversion is my way of sharing links of interesting things that I’ve come across online throughout the week (ahem, month). Know someone who could use a weekly diversion, share this email with them and they can sign up here: https://tinyletter.com/AdventuresOnceHad.
